How to Add, Set a Default, and Delete Payment Methods

BoldDesk allows administrators to manage all subscription‑related payment methods directly within the Admin Center. This guide explains how to add new cards, set a default card, and remove saved payment methods.

Adding a Payment Method

To add a payment method,

  1. Go to the Admin Center page.

  2. Click the Billing and Subscription option.

  1. In the Billing and Subscription page, select Payment and click Add Card.

  2. Enter the card details and click the Add Card button.

  • The new payment method will be added and shown on the payment page.

To charge the payment method for the upcoming invoice, click the Use as the default option in the checkbox, and then click the Add Card button.

Setting a Default Payment Method

To set a payment method as the default:

  1. In the Payment section, select the card you want to set as default.

  2. Click Set as Default. A confirmation pop-up will appear.

  3. Confirm by clicking Set as Default.

Subscription payments will be collected on the default card.

Deleting a Payment Method

To delete a payment method, follow the given steps:

  1. In the Payment section, select the card you want to delete.

  2. Click Delete. A confirmation pop-up will appear.

You cannot delete the default payment method.

  1. Where can I view all saved payment methods in BoldDesk?
    All saved cards appear under Admin CenterBilling and SubscriptionPayment. This is the only location where payment methods are managed.

  2. Can I set multiple default payment methods in BoldDesk?
    No. BoldDesk supports only one default payment method at a time. You can add multiple cards, but only one can be marked as default.

  3. Can I delete the default payment method?
    No. BoldDesk does not allow deletion of the default card. You must first assign another card as default.

  4. Can agents access payment methods?
    Only users with access to the Admin Center and Billing and Subscription permissions can view or modify payment methods.

  5. Does BoldDesk send notifications for payment failures?
    Yes. BoldDesk automatically sends billing-related notifications to the billing email configured in Organization Settings.
