Create Jira Issue with BoldDesk Ticket
By seamlessly creating Jira issues from BoldDesk, you can ensure a streamlined workflow for handling customer-reported issues.
Follow the given steps to create a Jira Issue and make a connection between the Jira Issue and the BoldDesk ticket:

Navigate to the ticket where you want to create the Jira issue and click Apps in the left sidebar. Then open the Jira Software app.

Click Create Jira Issue.

Choose the Jira Project and Issue Type. The necessary fields will appear in the creation form based on your selection.

Fill in the necessary fields in the form to create a Jira issue.

Click Add Attachments to choose files from the list of files already attached to the ticket.
Files from external storage services such as Google Drive, OneDrive, and Dropbox won’t be listed in the attachment section.

Click Create.

The Jira issue that was created is automatically linked with the BoldDesk ticket and is displayed as shown below.
To display additional fields in the Jira task creation form, create the custom fields, mark them as mandatory, and add them to the necessary Jira project. Once they are added to the project, they will be visible in the BoldDesk Jira task creation form.

Why don’t I see all Jira fields when creating the issue from BoldDesk?
Only fields configured in the selected Jira Project and Issue Type appear. If additional fields are needed, they must be created and added inside Jira before they can display in BoldDesk. -
Can I add attachments from the ticket to the Jira issue?
Yes. The Add Attachments option lets you include files already attached to the BoldDesk ticket. External storage files (Google Drive, OneDrive, Dropbox) do not appear. -
Is the Jira issue automatically linked to the BoldDesk ticket after creation?
Yes. Any issue created using Create Jira Issue is automatically linked and displayed in the ticket’s Jira integration panel.
