How to create Asana Task with BoldDesk Ticket
BoldDesk provides a native Asana integration that allows agents to create and link Asana tasks directly from an open ticket. This enables teams to track external work items while maintaining ticket context inside BoldDesk.
Prerequisites in BoldDesk
Before creating an Asana task from a ticket, ensure the following:
- The Asana app is installed and authorized in Admin Settings → Market Place
- Your agent role has permission to:
- Access Tickets
- View and use Apps within the ticket view
Create an Asana Task from a Ticket
Follow these steps to create an Asana task from an open BoldDesk ticket.
Navigation Path
- Navigate to the ticket where you want to create an Asana task and click Apps in the left sidebar to open the Asana app.
- Click Create Asana Task.
3. Select the Workspace.
4. Fill in the necessary details for the Asana task, such as Workspace, Projects, Assignee, Due Date, Title and Description.
5. Click Create.
6. After creating the Asana task, a linked task will be displayed as shown in the following image:

No — with BoldDesk–Asana integration, a single BoldDesk ticket cannot be linked to more than one Asana task. -

No. Ticket status changes must be performed manually or through Automation Rules in BoldDesk. -
Is ticket SLA affected when an Asana task is linked?
No. SLAs continue to run based on ticket conditions and SLA policies, not on Asana task activity.
