How to Mark as Outdated or Up-to-date for Translated Articles
In a multilingual knowledge base with translated articles, you can choose to label them as Outdated or Up-to-date. This helps the author identify which articles need to be reworked on, ensuring that your customers always have access to accurate and current information.

Mark translated articles as outdated
You can follow the steps below to mark the translated article as “Outdated”:
- Navigate to Article View page. Select the translated article you want to mark as outdated under the Language tab.
- Click the Mark as Outdated option at the top.
The confirmation dialogue box below will be displayed.
- Click the Mark as Outdated button and a notification to show the article has been successfully marked as “outdated” will display at the top right corner.
Mark translated articles as Up-to-date
Follow the steps below to mark the translated article as “Up-to-date”:
- Navigate to the Article View page. You can mark the outdated article as “up-to-date” by select the secondary language under the Language tab.
- Click the Mark as Up to date option at the top.
A confirmation dialogue box will be shown as follows:
- Click the Mark as Up to date button. A notification to show the article has been successfully marked as “up-to-date” will display at the top right corner.
Mark all translated articles as outdated
Primary articles have the option to mark all translated articles as “outdated.”
That option is only visible if the article is translated into any one of the secondary languages.
Follow the steps below to mark all the translated articles as outdated:
- Navigate to Article View page where you have to mark all translated articles as outdated.
- Select the Mark all translation as Outdated option.
A confirmation dialogue box will be shown as follows:
- Click the Mark all translation as Outdated button. The success notification below is shown at the top right corner.
All translated articles in that page are now successfully marked as outdated.
