How to Restore Deleted Articles in a Multilanguage Knowledge Base

A deleted article can be restored from the deleted articles section by a user who has restore permission. In this article, you will learn about restoring a deleted article while the multilanguage option is enabled.

Restoring Primary Articles

To restore a primary article that has been deleted, follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to the KB module from the left menu.

  2. Click on the Deleted Articles option.

  3. There are two ways to restore the deleted articles.

    • To restore a single article, click the Restore Article icon.

    • To restore multiple articles, click the Restore Button at the top-right corner.

  4. After clicking the Restore icon or button, a confirmation dialog with a checkbox asking Restore this article in all languages will be shown as follows:

  5. After clicking the Restore button, the confirmation dialog with a checkbox asking Restore this article in all languages will be shown as follows:

  • To restore the article across all languages, tick the checkbox.
  • To restore the article in a specific language alone, leave the checkbox.
  1. Click the Restore button to proceed with the restoration.
    A success message will be displayed at the top right of the screen confirming the restoration.

When you restore a deleted article, the category and section related to the article will also be restored.

Restoring Translated Articles

To restore a translated article that has been deleted, follow these steps:

  1. Go to the KB module on the left menu.

  2. Use the Language dropdown menu to switch to the desired secondary language.

  3. Click the Deleted Articles option.

  4. Select the article you wish to restore and click the Restore icon or Restore button.

  1. Click the Restore button to confirm and restore the article.

Restoring a translated article will also restore the primary article and its related category and section.
