How to Delete Knowledge Base Articles

Deleting outdated or incorrect content helps keep your BoldDesk Knowledge Base accurate and easy to maintain. This guide explains who can delete Knowledge Base articles and walks through the three supported deletion locations—Article listing, Sections/Articles listing, and Article details—including how bulk deletion works.

Prerequisite

To delete a Knowledge Base article, the agent’s role must include Delete article permission for Knowledge Base articles.

Ways to delete KB articles

BoldDesk supports deleting articles from three different KB locations:

  • Article listing page (bulk delete)
  • Sections/Articles listing page (bulk delete)
  • Article details page (single-article delete)

How to bulk delete articles from the article listing page

  1. Go to the KB module.

  2. On the article listing page, select articles using one of these methods:

    • Select Select All at the top to select all articles in the list.
    • Select individual articles by checking the box next to each article.
  3. Select Delete.

  4. In the confirmation dialog, select Yes Delete.

How to bulk delete articles from the Sections/Articles listing page

Navigation: KB module → Sections/Articles Listing page

  1. Go to the KB module.

  2. Open the Sections/Articles Listing page.

  3. Select articles using one of these methods:

    • Select Select All at the top.
    • Select individual articles by checking the box next to each article.
  4. Select Delete.

  5. In the confirmation dialog, select Yes Delete.

Delete an article from the article details page

Navigation: KB module → open an article

  1. Go to the KB module.

  2. Open the target article to reach the Article Details page.

  3. Select Delete at the top of the article page.

  4. In the confirmation dialog, select Yes Delete.
