Install and Configure Mailchimp Integration with BoldDesk

How to install and configure the MailChimp
To install the MailChimp app:

Navigate to the Admin menu > Marketplace.

Search for and select the MailChimp app.

Click the ‘Install’ button to initiate the installation process.

Follow the authorization process to the MailChimp website, where you should enter your MailChimp email ID and Password. Afterward, click on Log In.

You will be asked to consent to installing our BoldDesk app in your MailChimp Account. Proceed by clicking the “Allow” button to grant permission.
Configuring MailChimp App Permissions
You can manage who has access to the MailChimp app in your organization by setting permissions. You can explore two key options:
• All Agents: This option makes the app available to all users without consideration of their specific roles or permissions.
• Specific Roles: This option customizes the app’s visibility, limiting access to users with specific roles or permissions within your organization.
After setting app permission, remember to click the Save button.
Enhancing Access Control with Two Modules
You have the precision to specify the exact location from which you wish to retrieve your MailChimp data with these modules.
• Tickets Module: Manages access to MailChimp data related to support tickets.
• Contacts Module: Manages and controls access to customer and contact information within the MailChimp app.
Once you’ve configured the target module, click the Save button.
Accessing MailChimp Information with BoldDesk
After installing MailChimp app in the BoldDesk, you have the option to view MailChimp information on the ticket and contact pages depending on the choice you made during the configuration process.
To view MailChimp information on a ticket, follow the given steps:

Open a ticket to view its details.

Click the Apps option in the right sidebar and open the MailChimp app.

Navigate through the tabs to view the respective MailChimp data.

Here, you can easily view the most recent five campaigns and mailing lists.

To view the complete campaign list, click View all campaigns.
Managing MailChimp mailing List Subscriptions
To subscribe or unsubscribe from a MailChimp mailing list:

Click the Unsubscribe icon to remove your Mailchimp mailing list subscription directly from BoldDesk.

Upon selecting the Unsubscribe icon, a dialog box will appear. Confirm the action by clicking Yes, unsubscribe to unsubscribe.

To add new subscribers or existing ones to your Mailchimp mailing list, go to the Subscribe to New Mailing List tab.

Select the desired mailing list from the dropdown menu and click the Add button.
