How to Incorporate Images from Diagrams.net/Draw IO into BoldDesk KB articles?

Diagrams.net is an open-source online software for creating various types of diagrams, such as flowcharts, UML, entity relations, network diagrams, and mock-ups.

How do you embed a Draw.io diagram?

You can embed Draw.io diagrams into the BoldDesk Knowledge Base Markdown editor using two methods.

Using the “Embed” option

  1. Head to the Diagrams.net window.
  2. Open File > Embed > Image.

The following screenshot shows how to embed a Draw.io diagram.

  1. Click Embed.
  2. Copy the generated image tag.

  1. Head back to the article in the BoldDesk KB markdown editor.
  2. Paste the copied code > Preview.

Exporting a diagram as an image and uploading it to BoldDesk KB

  1. In the Diagrams.net, open File > Export as > PNG.
  2. Click Export.
  3. Name your file and save it in your preferred location - choose from Google Drive, OneDrive, Dropbox, GitHub, GitLab, or your device.

  1. Click Save.
  2. Head back to the article in the BoldDesk KB editor.
  3. Click on Insert image and select the image that you need to paste.
