How to Incorporate Images from Diagrams.net/Draw IO into BoldDesk KB articles?
Diagrams.net is an open-source online software for creating various types of diagrams, such as flowcharts, UML, entity relations, network diagrams, and mock-ups.
How do you embed a Draw.io diagram?
You can embed Draw.io diagrams into the BoldDesk Knowledge Base Markdown editor using two methods.
Using the “Embed” option
- Head to the Diagrams.net window.
- Open File > Embed > Image.

- Click Embed.
- Copy the generated image tag.

- Head back to the article in the BoldDesk KB markdown editor.
- Paste the copied code > Preview.

Exporting a diagram as an image and uploading it to BoldDesk KB
- In Diagrams.net, open File > Export as > PNG.
- Click Export.
- Name your file and save it in your preferred location - choose from Google Drive, OneDrive, Dropbox, GitHub, GitLab, or your device.

- Head back to the article in the BoldDesk KB editor.
- Click on Insert image and select the image that you need to paste.
Flowchart File Format Support BoldDesk: Knowledge Base does not support uploading native flowchart file formats such as .drawio (Diagrams.net/Draw.io) or .vsdx (Microsoft Visio). If you need to include flowcharts in your articles, export the diagram as an image format (such as PNG, JPG, or SVG) and upload it as an image instead.
