How to Add a Phone Number to the WhatsApp Cloud API

The following are steps to add a phone number in Meta.
- Log in to the Meta developer site.
- Go to the My Apps tab.
- Select the configured app.
- Go to the WhatsApp section and select API Setup.
- On the right, select the Add phone number button.
- Enter the WhatsApp Business display name.
- Select your Timezone.
- Choose a Category for your business and provide a Business Description (optional).
- Click Next to begin the phone number verification process.
- Enter the phone number you wish to add. After entering the number, you can verify it using the OTP sent via text message or phone call. Click Next to proceed.
- Click Next to complete the verification process.
Once you have completed the verification process, kindly add a payment method to send or receive messages for the phone numbers added to your WhatsApp Cloud API.
