How to Share Custom Dashboard Widget in BoldDesk
In BoldDesk, custom dashboard widgets can be shared with users via a link. You can use the copy link option above the widget or the copy link option when the widget is opened in a new tab. By selecting the option to open the widget in a new tab, it will open on a separate page from where it can be shared as a link. Links can be copied from:
- The widget header inside the dashboard
- The widget’s dedicated page (opened in a new browser tab)
Share a Widget by Copying a Widget Link from the Dashboard View
When sharing the widget link, it is important to consider the Dashboard Viewer Access Scope. To share a widget in a new page, follow the given steps:
- Go to the Reports Module
- Open a Dashboard and choose a widget which you want to share.
- Click the link icon above the widget to copy the link. Once you copy the link, you can share the link to agents with permission to view the dashboard.
- The article link can only be copied in the widget view mode. This option is not available when you switch to edit mode.
- The option to copy the widget link is available only for custom dashboard widgets and is not provided for system dashboards.

- On this page, you can perform additional actions:
- Refresh
- Change Chart Type
- View Underlying Data
- Click Copy Link from the widget page header to generate the shareable link.
