Linking a cloned ticket to the original helps maintain context and ensures all related information is accessible for efficient ticket resolution.
Steps to Link a Previous Ticket to a Cloned Ticket
- Open the cloned ticket.
- Go to the Links tab and click Link Ticket.
- Choose the link type:
- Related Ticket: Click Add Ticket, search by ID or title, and select it.
- Parent Ticket: Click Add Parent, search, and select.
- Child Ticket: Click Add Child, search, and select.
- Ensure both tickets are active.
- Linked tickets will appear in the Links tab, and the source ticket can be viewed in the History tab.
