How to Re-authenticate Support Emails from the IMAP Token Expiry Alert

If you receive an alert in your BoldDesk portal stating, Alert: Some of your support email IMAP refresh tokens will expire within 10 days. Re-authenticate them here to avoid service interruption. Learn more here.,” it means that one or more of your Microsoft-based support email accounts (e.g.Office 365) require re-authentication. This is necessary to ensure uninterrupted syncing of your support emails.

In this guide, we will walk you through the steps to re-authenticate these email accounts directly from the alert banner.

Steps to Re-authenticate Expiring IMAP Tokens

1.Click the “here” Link in the Alert Banner

  • Click the “here” link provided in the alert banner. This will automatically redirect you to the Support Emails configuration page, where the affected email accounts are listed.

2. Edit the Affected Email

  • On the Support Emails page, identify the email address mentioned in the alert.
  • Click the Edit icon next to the affected email to open its configuration settings.

3. Re-authenticate

  • In the email configuration screen, click the Re-authenticate button.
  • Follow the Microsoft sign-in process to complete the re-authentication. Ensure that you use the correct credentials associated with the email account.
