How to Personalize InApp Notifications
In-app notifications keep users informed while they’re actively using an application. Unlike push alerts, these messages appear within the app interface, offering timely updates, reminders, or alerts without interrupting the user’s flow. Agents can personalize these notification settings based on their preference.
Managing InApp Notification Settings
To manage the InApp notification settings, follow the given steps.
- Go to Profile icon > View Profile & Settings > Notifications.
- Turn on the Notifications option.
- Scroll down and locate the InApp notification column.
- Mark/unmark the checkboxes for the corresponding events for the selected module.
- You can also categorize the alerts as Focused or Others.
- Click Update to save the changes.
Notifications are sent only for the events that are checked. If unchecked, notifications will not ne sent.
Viewing the InApp Notifications
Agents can track and view the InApp notifications by opening the Bellicon at the top right of the agent portal.
Filtering the Notifications
Filter by Category
InApp notifications can be filtered based on the following categories:
All – View every notification.
Focused – Displays list of alerts within the Focused type.
Others – Displays list of alerts within the Others type .
@ Mentioned – Displays list of notifications where the current user was tagged.
Watching – Updates on items the current user is following or included in the watchlist.
Filter by Module
Click the “All Modules” dropdown to narrow alerts by module:
- Tickets - Displays list of all notifications related to ticket events
- Chat - Display list of alerts related to the conversations.
- Knowledge Base - Show list of notifications related to the events that occur within the articles.
- Activity - Filter the notifications for alerts sent when an event occurs with in an activity
- Approval - Shows list of ticket approval events that the current user attention is required.
Filter by Read Status
- Mark the “Unread” checkbox to show only new or pending alerts.
- Click “Mark all as read” to clear notifications you’ve already reviewed.
