How to Monitor and Manage AI Credit Usage in BoldDesk

BoldDesk AI Credit Usage provides visibility into how often AI Agents successfully resolve customer inquiries without human intervention. By configuring usage alerts and limits, you can maintain oversight, control credit consumption, and ensure AI-powered workflows operate within your organization’s policies.

This guide walks you through how to access, configure, and monitor AI Credit Consumption using the Usage & Alerts settings in the BoldDesk AI module. All steps reflect the latest BoldDesk interface and current AI Agent credit management capabilities.

Prerequisites and Required Roles

Before configuring AI Resolution usage:

  • You must be an Administrator or Billing Admin.
  • You must have access to the BoldDesk AI module.
  • Navigation path needed:

Navigating to Usage & Alerts

  1. In the left sidebar, select AI.
  2. Under the AI Agents section, click Usage & Alerts.

This page displays two primary panels:

  • Free Credits

  • AI Agent Credits

Manage Free Credits Usage Alerts

The Free Credits section shows the total monthly free credits and how many have been consumed. A blue progress bar visually indicates usage.

Configuring Free Credit Alerts

  1. In the Free Credits panel, locate:
    Notify the billing contacts via email when [percentage]% of the free credits have been utilized.

  2. Open the dropdown and select a percentage (e.g., 90%).

  3. The progress bar will update automatically as usage increases.

Billing contacts will consistently receive an alert when free credits are fully used at 100%, regardless of whether the notification toggle is disabled. For further information, please refer to

Manage AI Agent Credits Usage Alerts

The AI Agent Credits section displays:

  • Total purchased AI credits (e.g., 5000 Credits)
  • Credits consumed (e.g., 338 / 5000 Credits Used)
  • Auto‑recharge status (if enabled)
  • Alert configuration dropdown for billing notifications

Configuring AI Agent Credit Alerts

  1. In the AI Agent Credits panel, enable:
    Notify the billing contacts via email when [percentage]% of the credits have been utilized.

  2. Use the dropdown to choose a percentage, such as 80%.

If auto‑recharge is active, a message displays, for example:

Auto‑recharge is on! We’ll add 3000 credits automatically when your balance hits zero.”

  • Total credits available
  • Credits consumed
  • Usage percentage
  • A blue progress bar illustrating consumption visually
