How to Personalize the Start Chat Experience for Users in Your Live Chat Widget
Chat Widget admin setting allows you to customize how visitors interact with your live chat widget. This includes customizing a welcome message, deciding if an email is required to start a chat, and setting an automatic confirmation message to send once the chat begins.
Follow the given steps to personalize the start chat experience:
- Navigate to Admin> Chat > Live Chat.
- Select the widget you want to edit or click Add Widget to create a new one.
- Navigate to Chat Experience > Start Chat Configuration.
- Configure the chat settings as needed.
Welcome message
Choose how you would like to greet visitors and introduce yourself when they open the live chat widget.
Initiate conversation without filling out a form
By choosing this configuration, visitors can begin chatting immediately without providing any information upfront.
Initiate a conversation upon email submission
This configuration requires visitors to provide their email addresses before they can start a conversation.
Confirmation message
Visitors will automatically receive this message once they start a conversation (After submitting their email addresses for email visitors or after sending the first message for anonymous visitors).
