How to Change a ticket category from Private to Public

To change the private category to the public category, follow the given steps:

  1. Go to the Ticket fields module and select the Category field.
  2. Unchecked the private category option to open a confirmation dialog box.

  1. Click the Yes button to mark the category as public.

Note

  • When you mark a category as public, it will be visible in the customer portal and the customers can create tickets for the public category.
  • The visibility of all the existing tickets associated with the public category will remain unchanged.
