How to Create and Manage Custom Dashboard

Custom dashboards provide a powerful way to view all your key performance metrics in one place, including ticket statuses, team performance, response times, and customer satisfaction scores. By organizing this data in a single view, you can gain valuable insights and make data-driven decisions. With a personalized dashboard, you can boost efficiency and productivity across your support team based on these insights. The following are the various features and options associated with custom dashboards

  1. Creating a dashboard
  2. Editing a dashboard
  3. Deleting a dashboard

Note: Custom Dashboard is applicable only in higher plans like Enterprise and Business.

Creating a dashboard

To create a new dashboard, follow the given steps:

  1. In the agent portal, click the Reports module and click Create Dashboard button.

  1. Enter the dashboard name, viewer and editor access scope. Description and Category are optional fields.
  2. Click Create button to create the dashboard.

Editing a dashboard

You can add new widgets and customize them using the Edit Dashboard option by following these steps:

  1. Select the dashboard you want to edit.
  2. Click the highlighted icon (⋮) and choose Edit Dashboard to open the dashboard in Edit mode.

  1. You can add a new widget or edit an existing one. Refer to this article for more information.
  2. You can also customize the widget’s size and position. Refer to this article for more information.
  3. Once the changes are complete, you can switch to View mode.

Deleting a dashboard

You can delete a dashboard in the following ways:

  1. Delete by Dashboard Owner
  2. Delete using Manage Dashboard view

Delete by Dashboard Owner

  1. Click the highlighted icon (⋮) and select Delete Dashboard to delete the dashboard.

  1. Click the Delete button in the Delete Dashboard dialog.

Note:

  1. In other views, only the dashboard owner is able to delete the respective dashboard.
  2. If deleted, the associated widgets in this dashboard will also be deleted.

Delete using Manage Dashboard view

  1. Click on the Manage Dashboard view
  2. Click the highlighted icon (⋮) and select Delete Dashboard to delete the dashboard.

  1. Click the Delete button in the Delete Dashboard dialog.

Note:

  1. Agents with Manage Custom Dashboard permission can view the Manage Dashboard view.
  2. From the Manage Dashboard view, agents are able to delete the dashboard.
