How to Activate, Deactivate, or Delete a Help Widget in BoldDesk
Use this article to learn how to activate, deactivate, or delete a Help Widget in BoldDesk. You can manage these actions from Admin > Widgets > Web Widgets & AI Agent. Deactivating a widget moves it to the Inactive tab, activating a widget restores it to the Active tab, and deleting a widget removes it permanently.
Prerequisite
To activate, deactivate, or delete a help widget, the agent role must have the Manage settings permission.
Deactivate a Help Widget
Deactivate a widget when you want to remove it from the active widget list without deleting it permanently.
Steps to deactivate a help widget

Go to Admin > Widgets.

Make sure the Help Desk tab is selected.

Select Web Widgets & AI Agent from the left pane.

In the Active tab, locate the widget you want to deactivate.

Select the more options (⋯) menu for that widget.

Select Deactivate.

In the confirmation dialog, select Yes, Deactivate.
Result:
After the widget is deactivated, it is moved to the Inactive tab.
Activate a Help Widget
Activate a widget when you want to move it from the Inactive tab back to the active widget list.
Steps to activate a help widget

Make sure the Help Desk tab is selected.

Select Web Widgets & AI Agent from the left pane.

Select the Inactive tab.

Locate the widget you want to activate.

After the widget is activated, it appears again in the Active tab.
Delete a Help Widget
Delete a widget when it is no longer needed.
Steps to delete a help widget

Make sure the Help Desk tab is selected.

Select Web Widgets & AI Agent from the left pane.

Locate the widget you want to delete.

Select the more options (⋯) menu for that widget.

Select Delete.

In the confirmation dialog, select Yes, Delete.
Deleting a help widget is permanent. Once deleted, the widget cannot be restored.
