Can’t Add or Edit Ticket Status? Here’s Why

Even if you have Account Owner/admin access, you may find that you’re unable to add a new ticket status or edit an existing one. This typically occurs when you’re not using the portal’s primary (default) language.

Detailed Example with GIF

  • Our portal’s primary language is set to English (en-US).
  • When English (en-US) is selected from the language dropdown, the Edit and Add Status options are available.
  • When another language (e.g., Chinese or German) is selected, you are not able to edit and add Status options.

Note:

  • Ticket status fields can only be edited when the selected language matches your portal’s primary language.
  • If you’re switching the portal in any other language, these fields will appear non-editable.

Also, to modify or update the ticket status, it is necessary to have the Manage fields and forms permission under admin module.
