How to Delete Dropdown Field Values in Different Language Settings

In BoldDesk, managing dropdown field values depends on the language currently selected in your agent portal. If you’re unable to edit or delete dropdown values, it is likely due to the language selection.
You can only edit or delete dropdown field values when using the default language configured in your portal.
- Go to the Admin Portal.
- Navigate to Dropdown Field Settings (e.g., Category, Sub-category, etc.).
- At the top of the field settings, locate the language selector.
- Change the language from any other language to your default content language – for example, Portuguese (Brazil).
Once you switch to the default language:
- The ‘Action’ column becomes visible.
- You can now edit or delete the dropdown values as needed.
Note: When a default language is selected in the Language Settings under the Settings option in the Agent module, the same language must also be selected on the Category page when attempting to delete dropdown values.
