Why Email Footers Display Missing Image Icon?

1 min read
Updated:

Missing image icon in the footer of BoldDesk emails, is likely due to a tracking pixel embedded by the email delivery system. This icon appears when the pixel fails to load, typically because the email client blocks external images.

How to fix it

Gmail users

  1. Open the email with the missing image icon.
  2. At the top of the message, click “Display images below” or “Always display images from the address associated with the message.”
  3. Gmail will then load the images and remember your preference for future emails from the same sender.

Outlook users

  1. Go to File > Options > Trust Center > Trust Center Settings.
  2. Under Automatic Download, uncheck the options that block image downloads, then click Ok to save changes.

Alternatively, open the email with blocked content, at the top of the message click Trust Sender to allow images from this source.
