Why a User Might Not Receive BoldDesk Browser Notifications?
Browser notifications allow user to get alerts through your web browser. If a user isn’t receiving browser notifications for BoldDesk updates, it could be because notifications are disabled either in the browser’s site settings or within BoldDesk’s notification settings. Both settings must be enabled for browser notifications to work properly.
Checking Browser Notification Settings within BoldDesk
- Click the profile icon and select View Profile and Settings.
- Open the Notifications tab.
- Find the Enable Browser Notifications option.
- Ensure it is turned on for the system to send the browser notifications.
Checking Browser Notification Settings for a Site

Browse the site to check its browser notification status.

Click the Site Information Icon in the URL bar (address bar) next to the URL.

Check Notification Permissions
- If the notification is on or off, it is indicated as displayed in the images below, and you can manage the settings right here.

Google Chrome Browser
- If the notification setting is in the Ask(default) status, it will not be displayed in the panel.
How to Enable/Allow Browser Notifications

Click the Site Information icon in your browser’s address bar.

Open Site Permissions
- In Microsoft Edge: Click Permissions for this site.
- In Google Chrome: Click Site settings.

On the permissions settings, select Allow for the Notifications.

Reload the site to apply the new notification settings.
