How to Configure the Microsoft Teams Channel Notifications

Channel limit based on plans

There are different channel limits based on different plans. Here is an example of the different channel limits based on the plans table:

Let’s learn one example:
In the growth plan, you have the option to install the BoldDesk bot into a maximum of five teams.

You can also configure up to ten channel notifications within the BoldDesk configuration page, allowing you to send notifications to your Teams.

How to add a teams channel notification

To add the Teams channel notification in the BoldDesk site, follow the given steps:

1. Navigate through the Admin menu > My Apps > Microsoft Teams and then click on Edit option to open the Microsoft Teams page.

   

2. Click Add New Notification.

   

3. Enter the Teams notification’s Name.

4. Select the Notify Assignee option to notify the agent directly.

5. Select the Notify Channel and specify the Team and Channel to which the notification should be sent.

   

6. Select the Ticket events and Conditions to receive notification and click the Save option.

   

How to edit a channel notification

Follow the given steps to edit a Teams channel notification:

1. Navigate through theAdmin menu> My Apps > Microsoft Teams and then click on Edit option to open the Microsoft Teams page.

2. On the channel you would like to edit, click the Kebab icon and select Edit to go to the Edit Notification page.

3. Modify the notification details on the Edit Notification page and then click Update.

   

How to delete a channel notification

To delete a Teams channel notification, follow the given steps:

1. Navigate through the Admin menu> My Apps > Microsoft Teams and then click on Edit option to open the Microsoft Teams page.

2. On the channel you would like to delete, click the Kebab icon and select Delete.

   

3. Click the Yes, Delete button in the confirmation dialog to delete a Teams channel notification.

   

How to deactivate a channel notification

Follow the steps below to deactivate a Teams channel notification:

1. Navigate through the Admin menu> My Apps > Microsoft Teams and then click on Edit option to open the Microsoft Teams page.

2. On the channel you would like to deactivate, click the Kebab icon and select Deactivate.

   

3. Click the Yes, Deactivate button in the confirmation dialog to deactivate a Teams channel notification.

   

Activating channel notification

Follow the given steps to activate a Teams channel notification:

1. Navigate through the Admin menu> My Apps > Microsoft Teams and then click on Edit option to open the Microsoft Teams page.

2. On the channel you would like to activate, click the Kebab icon and select Activate.

   

3. Click the Yes, Activate button in the confirmation dialog to activate a Teams channel notification.
