How to Prevent Unverified Users from Creating Tickets

To ensure that only verified users can submit tickets, disable ticket creation via email. Allow ticket creation only through the portal, where users must log in using verified credentials. This helps prevent unverified users from submitting tickets.

To disable ticket creation through support email address, follow these steps:

  1. Go to Admin center > Emails.
  2. Click the more option and select Disable Ticket Creation.

How to create a ticket using portal

Contacts can create tickets through the customer portal. Please refer to this article for more details.
Agents can also created ticket on behalf of the customers. For more details, consult this article.

  • Customers will receive email notifications for ticket creation and updates when event notification is enabled. For more details on managing email notifications, please refer to this article.
  • Replies made via email will be dropped. Therefore, users (agents and contacts) have to log into their respective portals to post replies.
