How to Cancel or Delete an Approval Request

Use this action to withdraw an approval you previously requested on a ticket. The request will be removed from the ticket so the approver(s) no longer need to act.

Follow the given steps to cancel or delete an approval request:

  1. Open a ticket where you should remove an approval request and navigate to the Approvals tab.

  2. Click Cancel Request next to the approval you want to withdraw.

  • In the confirmation dialog, click Cancel to confirm.

To cancel an approval request an Agent must have permission to cancel approval requests.

1) What does canceling an approval request on a BoldDesk ticket do?
Canceling withdraws the pending approval from the ticket so the approver(s) no longer need to take action, and the approval entry is removed from the Approvals tab.

2) Where in BoldDesk can I find the option to cancel an approval request on a ticket?
Open the ticket, go to the Approvals tab, and click Cancel Request next to the approval you want to withdraw. In the confirmation dialog, click Cancel to confirm.

3) Can I undo a cancellation of an approval request on a BoldDesk ticket?
No. Cancellation is final. If approval is still required, create a new approval request.
