How to Enable Knowledge Base in Help Widget

The embeddable widget enables you to integrate the knowledge base article into your company’s website or help center. Users can access the articles through this widget.

Add a new widget

To add a new widget, follow the given steps:

  1. Open the Widget module.
  2. Click the Add Widget button.

Enable knowledge base

To set up the knowledge base for the widget, follow these instructions:

  • Enable Knowledge Base - Displays the knowledge base article in the widget pop-up.
  • Header Text - Text that appear as the Knowledge base Title.
  • Category - Choose the categories to be listed in the widget pop-up.

Only categories that are visible to all users will be listed in this dropdown.

Embed code

The embed code will be displayed in the dialog box once the widget settings are created or updated successfully. You can copy the embed code and insert it into your help center or website.

Embedded widget

After adding the embed code to your website or product, the widget will appear as follows:

Home

The selected categories will be listed, and you will have the option to switch between the knowledge base and the contact form. Additionally, you can search for articles and find them using the search feature.

Article list

The corresponding articles will be displayed after selecting the required category.

Article details

  • The details of the article will be displayed as shown in the following image.

  • On the article’s details page, you will have the option to either Like or Dislike an article.
  • If you dislike an article, you will be asked for further details that would help improve the article. The feedback options for disliking an article will be displayed as shown in the following image.
