How to Enable Knowledge Base in Web Form

The embeddable web form enables you to integrate the Knowledge Base article into your organization’s website or Help Center. Users can access the articles through this web form.

Add a New Web Form

To add a new web form, follow the given steps:

  • Open the Web Forms module.
  • Click the Add Web Form button.

Enable Knowledge Base

To set up the knowledge base for the web form, follow these instructions:

  • Enable Knowledge Base - Displays the knowledge base article in the web form pop-up.
  • Header Text - Text that appears as the Knowledge Base title.
  • Category - Allows you to choose the categories to be listed in the web form pop-up.

  • To enable the Knowledge Base in your web form, first enable it for the brand in customer portal settings and select the same brand for the form. For more details, please check this article.
  • Categories appear in the web widget only if they have at least one published article accessible to “All Users”.
  • Articles or categories set to “Logged-in users” won’t show in the form.

Embed Code

The embed code will be displayed in the dialog box when the web form settings are created or updated successfully. You can copy the embed code and insert it into your help center or website.

Embedded Web Form

After adding the embed code to your website or product, the web form will appear as follows:

Home

The selected categories will be listed, and you can switch between the knowledge base and the contact form. Additionally, you can search for articles and find them using the search feature.

Article List

After selecting a required category, the corresponding articles will be displayed.

Article Details

The details of the article will be displayed.

  • On the article’s details page, you can either Like or Dislike an article.
  • If you dislike an article, you will be asked for further details that would help improve the article. The feedback options for disliking an article will be displayed as shown in the following image.
