How to Reset or Change the Sequence Numbering of Tickets

In certain cases, you may need to change ticket numbering to start from a higher number or delete tickets and restart them from 1.

For such requests please create a support request by dropping us an email at support@bolddesk.com from your account owner email ID, mentioning your Tenant URL and new sequence number for ticket.

  • Before sending an email or contacting us, please permanently delete all your existing tickets by following the instructions in this article.
  • For current tickets, you have the flexibility to set the sequence to either 1000 or 2000, based on your preference. However, if a ticket has already been created with a number like 1001 or 1002, and you wish to revert to a lower sequence number such as 500, you must first delete all existing tickets. Please note that while you can increase and set a higher sequence number, you cannot decrease it to an earlier value once tickets have been generated.
